17U Royals Finish in Top 6 at CABA World Series
in Cleveland, OH
Congratulations to the 17U Royals who for the second straight year finished
in the Elite 8 of the CABA World Series--this year in the top 6. The
Royals went 6-0 in pool play and advanced to the Final 16 bracket, knocked
out only by powerful Bergen Beach (Brooklyn, NY), who went on to win the
championship. The Royals offense lead the charge, hitting an amazing .401,
with seven players hitting over .400 for the tourney. Royals pitchers
limited opposing hitters to a .283 average and held opponent to 3 runs or
less in 6 games, including two shutouts.

Blue win Triple Crown Great Lakes Tourney
June 25-The Royals win their 2nd straight tourney of the 2011 season
by beating
the DTA Wildcats 9-6 in the championship game.
17U finishes 3rd in Univ. of Michigan Tourney
June 25-The Royals went 5-2, losing in the semi-finals to the
Indiana Prospects
to finish 3rd in the 42-team University of Michigan Great Lakes Tournament.
17U takes 2nd in Seminoles Slugfest
June 12 --Royals pitching allowed only 12 runs in 5 games, taking 2nd
place,
losing in the championship game 6-5 to the Mac N Seitz Indians from
Kansas City.
16U Blue finish
tied for 1st in Valpo Tourney
June 6-The Royals went 4-0 to finish in a tie for 1st place in the
Valparaiso Crusader Challenge tournament.
17U Wins DSP
Concordia/Judson Tourney
June 6-The Royals hit .398 as a team, outscoring their opponents 26-7 and
went 3-0 to
win the DSP Tournament. |

USSSA Northwestern University Invitational! |

July 4--The Royals 16U
National team went 6-0 to win the USSSA Northwestern Invitational.
In the championship game played on the campus of Northwestern, the
Royals defeated the Illinois Reds 10-7 behind a 12-hit attack and
stellar defense, outscoring opponents 48-14 in the tourney. |

June 13--The Royals 16U
National team went 4-0 to win the Kenosha Classic, outscoring
opponents 52-5 and upping their season record to 6-1. The Royals
have not allowed more than 2 runs in any game this season.

Royals sign deal at
beautiful
Elfstrom Stadium
(home of the Kane County Cougars) for dates
in the 2010 season.
The Fox Valley Royals
Baseball Organization has signed on for dates at Eflstrom Stadium, home
of the Kane County Cougars for the 2010 season. The Cougars are the
single A affiliate of the Oakland A's major league baseball club.
Eflstrom Stadium is widely considered one of the most beautiful parks in
the country. Stay tuned for more exciting details in the future.

The Royals have also
added beautiful Elgin
Community College
as one of their home
fields. ECC's field is
considered one of the
best fields in the state.
Spartan Baseball Field
Seating capacity: 500.
Dimensions: 330 feet down the
lines, 385 feet to centerfield, and 392 feet in the gaps.
The field,
among the finest in the state, features a playing surface of crushed
brick material from Alabama and sod of 100 percent Kentucky Bluegrass,
the same as used at Miller Park in Milwaukee. It has an eight foot high
wood fence in the outfield, and a three foot high cement wall with
netting for the backstop.
Spartan
Field also features an outdoor hitting facility with two 70 foot long
tunnels and four catch net stations for drill work.

The
Fox Valley Royals Baseball organization is managed by Andy Bisceglia, a
former collegiate pitcher/outfielder with over 20 years coaching experience,
the past 14 years at the professional and collegiate level. Currently, Andy
is beginning his 10th season as an Associate Scout for the 2001 World
Champion Arizona Diamondbacks.
In recent years Andy has coached at the collegiate level as pitching coach
at Elgin Community College and has assisted several Division I teams with
their pitching programs and camps; most recently with Miami University.
Most of Andy's players from the Royals have gone on to compete at the
highest collegiate level including Arizona State, Wake Forest and the
University of Illinois. |
