| HS Coach Evaluation: Kevin has started varsity for two full season alternating between shortstop and 3rd base. His strength is his hands. Kevin has very quick and soft hands. He also has very good reaction defensively. At the plate, Kevin has improved greatly and hit around .310 on the year. He has cut down on his occasional strikeouts, but generally is a good contact hitter. Kevin has a great approach and love for the game of baseball. He is also a very dependable teammate. | |

Royals Coach Evaluation: Kevin is a sure-handed and versatile
infielder. He has developed a great deal physically in the last
9-months and it has enhanced his speed and strength significantly.
Kevin has evolved from a base hit-type hitter to a player that can hit
the ball into the gaps for extra bases. He has been one of our
steadiest hitters this summer (2010). Defensively, Kevin has
demonstrated the ability to play a 'lock-down' third base as well as
shortstop and second base. Additionally, Kevin's arm strength has
also improved with his physical development; he complements that tool
well with good footwork and continues to take good angles on groundballs
and has improved on staying low and shooting through the ball w/ his
throws. Kevin also has shown some ability on the mound for the
Royals this summer. He delivers the the ball down-hill
consistently to HP and has the knack to add and subtract off his
fastball; locates very well. Works hard during the week and the
entire off-season to prepare for game-day. Kevin will be a
contributor and role-player at the next level; he will thrive in the
